Thanks to the facilities at our disposal, including a specialist SKF-certified gearbox rebuild centre (the first of its kind in the UK), we can provide thorough gear, bearing and shaft failure analysis services for our customers. On-Site Gearbox Inspections
We provide on-site gearbox inspections, which enable us to identify various potential failure modes in all types of gearing, such as:

On-site, we can identify specific issues relating to load, set up, alignment, lubrication and material failures.
Gear Design
Our sister company, LAMOND & MURRAY DEXIS, has over 100 years’ worth of heritage in gear design and manufacture. Throughout those 100 years, they have continually invested in the latest, innovative machinery to support customers with gear design, reverse engineering, gear cutting, grinding and more.
Our gear design service aims to establish a design that is both fit for purpose and cost-effective, using cutting-edge Gear Production Suite (GPS) to achieve this. GPS applies the ISO 6336 standard to rate spur and helical gears and allows rapid comparison of different geometry and material configurations.
When verifying a design both gears can be modelled running together, meaning that possible design problems can be spotted and eliminated at an early stage.

When investigating gear failures, it is only natural that we also come across bearing failures too! We have an excellent knowledge of bearing failures and when required we can also call on the wealth of bearing expertise within our sister company HAYLEY DEXIS; a company synonymous with industrial bearings since 1976.
