Manufactured Clamp Segments

We were provided with broken or damaged castings as a sample to replicate. First, we carefully examined and assessed the castings to understand their original form, function, and dimensions, despite their damaged condition. Using reverse engineering techniques, we recreated the design and geometry of the original castings by either measuring the remaining intact portions or using advanced scanning and modelling technology to digitally reconstruct the component. Based on this data, we re-engineered the castings, opting to fabricate the new parts using steel instead of cast material, which offers greater strength, durability, and performance for the application. After finalizing the new design, we produced detailed technical drawings and engineering specifications, ensuring that all dimensions, tolerances, and material properties were accurately represented. These drawings served as a guide for manufacturing the steel components. The manufacturing process involved precise cutting, welding, and machining to produce the steel fabrications, ensuring they matched the original casting design but with improved material properties. Once manufactured, the components were inspected to confirm they met the required specifications and quality standards before being delivered for installation or use.
